| A red carpet event is held and an exciting dinner organized. Fashion designers, in Swahili wasanii wa mapambo, use this opportunity to seek out new contacts for buyers or people who could promote their business. |

First, it was called Trendz Kenya Fashion Festival, or sherehe ya mwelekeo wa mitindo ya Kenya, then it was called Sub Saharan Africa’s Most Beloved Fashion Event, or tukio linalopendwa sana la mitindo katika sehemu ndogo ya Sahara barani Afrika and later it was called Brain Child of Sonu Sharma or mtoto wa akili ya Sonu Sharm. Currently it’s called Kenya Fashion Week. |
